This is it

Talking bout the King of Pop himself, the late MJ's documentary/biography/movie which was on every cinema.I watched it recently, like last 2 weeks (entry yang lambat, i know) with Mr Mystery, Kak June and Din at Cineleisure Damansara (initially we wanted to watch 2012 but the tix were SOLD OUT!).

I'm not much of an MJ fan, not fanatic but i can sing his songs. To my surprise, watching his crazy preparations for the concert as well as the selection of musicians and dancers, i must say, he deserved it all, the compliments especially since he's dancing and singing flawlessly at his age of 50plus. Isn't that beyond ridiculous?

It was all great and all i could wish was to actually attend and watch him perform live. It could have been greater than great. But the Almighty loved him more.

You're the King of Pop, MJ. I'm proud of u!

PGL the musical 3

This coming February 2009, Enfiniti pays tribute to LOVE, and celebrates valentine's month with the story of the legendary love of the heroic warrior Hang Tuah and the mythical princess of Gunung Ledang.

Envy me, green-eyed monsters. I bought tickets to watch it at discounted price. 1 for Edros, Elly, Mal, and i. How sweet, right? We'll be watching it on the lovely evening of 14th february 2009. Even if i don't celebrate Valentines, cos i celebrate LOVE anytime i want, i'm watching it with the people i love. Yay!!!.

Puteri Gunung Ledang is about the tragic romance between a spirited princess and a legendary warrior, set in the kingdom of Majapahit in ancient Java and the Sultanate of Malacca in the 15th century. Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical tells the legendary tale of Puteri, the princess, who yearns for true love.

Her brother, Gusti Adipati, the ruler of Majapahit, however, has different concerns. His kingdom is under threat of invasion by Demak, a neighbouring kingdom. He enlists the help of the Sultan of Malacca who arrives with an entourage led by His foremost warrior, Laksamana Hang Tuah.

Puteri and Hang Tuah fall in love and promise to be together on Mount Ledang after Tuah's mission to Demak. Unable to bear the long separation, Puteri decides to wait for her beloved on Mount Ledang. Little does she know that she has been betrothed by her brother to the Sultan of Malacca in exchange for Malacca's protection. The Sultan of Malacca orders his loyal and faithful warrior Hang Tuah to lead the delegation to Mount Ledang to ask for Puteri's hand in marriage.

Be moved to tears as the star-crossed lovers are torn in dilemma of love, loyalty and sacrifice. Set against a dazzling backdrop of breathtaking sets, costumes, music and choreography.

So what do you think? It's my second time for PGL the musical and i'll be having so much fun. I bet you wouldn't want to miss it too. Hurry clickety click at http://www.axcess.com.my/ and get your hands on these tickets!

Married life

Its is pure jinx that i read Mommy Ain's log and she was telling about how beautiful married life is despite the normal mishaps in her everyday life. Then when i went home, i watched a movie (i'm not sure if its old or new) by the title "Married Life" starred by Ex-Bond Pierce Brosnan. A nice movie about a man in his 50's who has another woman in his life after many years of marriage with the reason that his wife loves him for sex and nothing more while the other woman loves him for his romantic self. Whatever.

So in the movie, the man tried to kill his wife by poisoning her as to wed his young and pretty girlfriend (played by Rachel McAdams) but in the end was scared to lose his dear love as the new girlfriend had been 'saved' by his friend (Pierce Brosnan) as to protect his friend's marriage (how noble? if only there's a lot of friends as he is).

So in between the movie, i was being insecure but in a cute way (perasan sket kat sini, maaf ye) so i SMS-ed Him for his opinions. Here's part of the text:

Sayangness: will you still hold me when we sleep at night even when we're old?
Him: Bistu u ingat i nak tido ngn sape?
Sayangness: Will you still kiss me even if i takde gigi?
Him: I will bcoz time tu i pun takde gigi gak. so we r even. haha
Sayangness: *laughing* sampai tergolek-golek

I know it's corny in its own way, but thankfully i feel much secured by his statements. Thank you! InsyaAllah i will love you till the the end!

its showtime!

This weekend had gone on a green light. Everything on the go. From Penang to Putrajaya to Melaka. I had to actually catch on my breath once in a while so last Friday, brother and i along with Yoyo and SR went to catch the (Bond song playing) yes, James Bond, Quantum of Solace. I'm not a heavy movie lover, the serious once are usually on the bottom shelf mostly. But this one is a must see, basically cos (1) its BOND movie, (2) Daniel Craig's in it and (3) the Bond girl is super, i even thought of kissing her. haha not in that way but like WOW she's a hottie. And it never often that a Bond girl has a stunningly short hair like hers.

Then, yesterday, again another movie, but its MADAGASCARRRRRRR!!!! That's how my brothers, the lil ones and Alia and Aiman my niece and nephew reacted when i told that i was taking them to the movies. It was way to crazy having 4 kids in a big mall for a movie. Total chaos. But i wore a dress just so people won't mistaken me for a mother with 4 kids. Then i made sure there's lots of food for storage just in case they talk inside the cinema asking for popcorns and chocolates. We totally enjoyed the movie even though Alia couldnt sit in place.

After movies, just for treats, we had early dinner at McDonalds since they have the Madagascar toys with purchase of the Happy Meal. So i bet those kids had fun on their movie day out and so did i! Once again a little girl.

We like to move it, move it!!

P ramlee the musical

yay! im back from the weekend. Good stress-free full of fun weekend! I should do this more often :)

P.Ramlee the musical, as expected, was seriously good and funny. Liza Hanim and her beautiful voice, she really did well portraying herself as Saloma and Musly Ramlee was really, really good. It's like watching P.Ramlee himself. Atilia as Junaidah and Melissa Saila as Norizan was also good. It shows all the effort they put in. Then, i saw someone i know. Its uzana Ibrahim herself in the musical. She was great as well. i just cant imagine her not being a god performer. Last but not least, standing ovation for Roslan Aziz and Adlin Aman Ramli for all the hard work. The show was remarkably good.
Then, i met Nad who decided to meet in Curve since it's much closer to her place and the fact that i need that boost from Marche. Dinner at Marche was good. I had the beef supreme pizza, I had roasted chicken and mushroom soup (i think i had them :) , Nad had lamb chop, sister with rosti and fruit juices for everyone. Me, my bestfriend (one of the 306 gals) and sister. i'm truly blissed.

Nad and i at Marche - 14 June 2008

We headed for ikano, for a walk like i said, in order to burn all the stuff we had. We were quickly browsing through Ikea and indulged in the Vanilla Icecream at RM1, currypuffs and hotdog. Yummy and creamy. We later on sent Nad home to Sg. Buloh and met Noah and Neil, Nad's nephews while Heidi the niece was already snoring, no sleeping to be exact.. Sangatlah We later went to Hartamas Square just to tapau Lala and Nasi Putih for supper. Haha!

Sad that Attie couldnt make it to P.Ramlee cos the tickets were sold out! and to Curve cos Lan, her bf, is going to start working soon which includes weekend and menurut Attie, its their last weekend outing. But it'd be better with you around, lagi rancak kite berbual, hahaha.

p/s: Attie, lift up ur chin la babe, its not the end of the world, k. I'm sure he'll have time for you or you could just drop by and see how he's doing, ok?

Now, back to reality, i have to settle all the accounts and what not. hmm, hopefully something exciting for this week :)

celine dion's concert! Mr. Boyfy! & Tax Course

13th april 2008
it started with edros and i travelling to K.Lumpur for th long awaited concert of Celine Dion - Taking Chances Concert in KL. okay! i was a wee bit excited as she is a Diva, indeed and i just want to have fun.

The show started 15minutes late and at that particular moment, Edros had to drag me to the toilet which had this bee-line queue. I was like OMG! we're gonna miss the opening and we did. but the toilet place had a great view and it was better off watching it from that spot. okay.. so the concert started with 'i drove all night' and she went on with a couple of hits like 'i'm alive, it's all coming back to me now, i love you' and a few others and she introduced her latest hit ' taking chances' and 'eyes on me' taken from her newly launched album Taking Chances. i was singing to it, i had so much fun and i couldnt be more contented to see her show with the great band (especially the multi-talented guy who played the violin and guitar and so much more) and dancers. they were marvellous. to those who missed it, im sorry but it was effin good! we shared the concert with the King and Queen too. Datuk Siti Nurhaliza n hubby was there. Rossa was there.a lot more indeed!

she didnt sing the ever-so-famous ' my heart will go on' until the very last minute. she came back to the stage after changing her decent clothes. she wore this sparkly top with tights and a mini-cardigan from the start to this beautiful yellow Greek-goddess inspired dress that she changed for the finale act and OMG! she was so good.... i was almost in tears.

14th april 2008
post concert was crazy. we ended up waking up late. We were supposed to get up early and leave by noon. but we ended up having brunch. so you go on figure out what time that will be. i was sympathy with my bro cos he had to drive alone back to Penang since my sis and i had to stay back in KL for my course on the 16th and 17th. but there's nothing i can do as Papa had told Edros to do so cos it'll be an extra cost to fly Elly again down to KL (if she was to follow him back).
it so happens that it was Uncle Ali's birthday. so later that night, the whole family and us (my sis and i) went to this restaurant with great ambience, Carabao. Great food indeed. Price? Reasonable. We had the Mango Fish, Seafood Tomyam, Fried Asparagus, Black Pepper Beef and i had the Soursop and Strawberry ice. Its like ABC, the shaved ice wit soursop and strawberry sauce and some chunks of it. Yummy! Great people. Great Food. Great Ambience. I'm lovin' it!
15th april 2008
we had lontong kering and nasi lemak for breakfast and my favourite kuih koci . super fatty food for an early meal. To my surprise the course im attending had change its venue from PJ Hilton to The Saujana (formerly known as Hyatt Saujana). With the full-battery phone i made some calls. Saujana was full and i was stranded with no place to go since i had booked PJ hilton earlier that week. I made a few calls to hotels in the Subang area and they too were full. i was like WTF!?! but more of 'Astaghfirullah' since i need to practice to be more patient and zip up my mouth for Umrah. I took this picture on flight since i had nothing better to do with some ridiculous ideas in mind. But i think this picture is rather beautiful. Any biddings, AirAsia?

I,then, called in Kak Rina, my cousin and she was so happy to have me n sis at her cosy apartment in Subang, and she, too, was ever-generous too lend her car for me to travel to the course. Problem is... it has been ages since i last drove a stick (Manual car). Laugh on people but at home, all 3 cars are automatic. so dont blame it on me. believe it or not after an hour journey, we arrived at the KL Sentral and as soon as i stepped down to reach for my luggage, i totally felt like i was in Chennai. Y? can u believe it, not to be racist or whatever, these people were shouting their lungs out and pity me i had to past through them while they were doing it. my concern is my ear drums.
At KL Sentral, we met Iqmal, Elly's friend for lunch at McD's cos i was so hungry and we headed to Shah Alam. and there i had my driving class. i had to prepare myself for driving a stick. im confident enough that i'd be able to pull it off and i did in a mere 15minutes. at first, instead of going backwards, i actually went forward and slight hit the bumper. Oops! but after trying to my relief i got the hang of it. Yay! (pat on the back).
So, while waiting for Kak Rina, we had some 4 hours to waste. and i so wanted to get new straps for my not-really old Guess? watch (i had planned to renew it ages ago but procrastination overrules) and so we headed to Pan Global in KL and tadaaa... i had it done in less than 30 minutes (if you do it through Guess? boutique, they'll tell you that it'll take them 2months or so.so next time, get it done yourself!) i got myself a Hot Pink strap to replace the boring brown one, and a lilac strap for the Gold one. at least Papa won't have to worry bout getting me a new watch anytime soon, unless he's just too kind!
then from there i was longing for my Meatballs at the Ikea. so we went there and yes i couldnt resist the Daim cake.then, after lunch we were rushing to fetch Kak Rina from work but i wanted to get Kak Rina and her hubby the infamous Curry Puffs and the Almond biscuits.

~the end~
