from penang to lendu with love (part 3)
29th June 2008
Early morning when i woke up to the beautiful morning while i was still sick, Mr Boyfy came to check on me. So sweet!
We had breakfast somewhere in Bandar Alor Gajah, as we would not settle for some Chinese breakfast at the Cowboy Town in A Famosa Resort. There was a group of orphans singing nasyid for charity (with gendang and what-nots). I symphatized and i did the least i could do. Donation. Amal jariah kan? After breakfast, all of the troop wanted a bite of durian kampung. I didn't cos i'll be worst off with the temperature and cough, runny nose ahh.
Then as we were checking out, we manage to persuade Papa to drive up to KL for some shopping at Pavilion. We did it! So another road trip and more shopping. Since I was sick, shopping doesn't seem so exciting and lunch at Tony Roma's was not as well . For the first time in history, i didn't spend a single sen. Maybe it was my condition that stops me, if not confirm dah banyak paper bags kan? Lagi-lagi Papa was there. haha!
We left later at 6pm and another long journey home. (We met Mokhzani, son of Tun Mahathir, with his family at the jockey.) OMG, it's a working Monday tomorrow.Pa, can i get an MC? sil vous plait?
P/s: Syg, thanks for being my nurse for the weekend :)

We were suppose to leave for Melaka at 8-ish but all of us were so tired after that looooooooonng talk and we left at 11am. I was also one of the reason, i didnt want to mandi. Was too cold cos I was sick and be a baby out of it. Plus, Elly was so like a makcik cos she was running around the house and trying to get all of us to get up and get going. She was so like me. I could see that in her. Haha.
Isn't he lovely?
Before we left, I met Ishbir (Kak Linda's son, my nephew) and boy was he charming. Sangatlah hensem and he had this rock-ish voice a la David Cook. But i so wanted to see Anis, my look-alike niece. Its been ages.
Arriving at Lendu, Melaka was an okay feeling. It had this kampung style and all. As i expected it to be. I couldnt imagine anything better. The hostel. The campus. Not bad. Its waaaay better than KYPM. Registration took us around 10-15minutes. Guess being late was not that bad after all.
After lunch at Tesco, which was a 2ominutes drive from Uitm, we had to leave Elly for her orientation and what not. Believe me i was in tears but i had to hide myself in the car. I did not want to make it uneasy for her. I know she knows that too. Before i forget, there's a fish pond spa (very popular now) at the Tesco at a price of RM20 for 30minutes. Believe it or not? As far as i remember reading in Female Mag, its at RM200-ish or more, so I'm definitely going to Lendu every month!
Later on we headed for A Famosa Resort. It has 2 large rooms, 2 bathroom, kitchen, living room/hall. The master bed has 2 queen sized bed while the other had 2 connected-singles which was the size of a King.
We had dinner at Duyung, somewhere in Melaka. Its all about seafood. But too bad i was not feeling well, I did not enjoy it. Later, my brother and i, and Syasya went for a drink with Edros' friend, Kurt (tauke kraftangan in Melaka) at K5, next to Equatorial Hotel. Very nice! I like the ambience. If you happen to be in Melaka, drop by and you'll know :)

from penang to lendu with love (part 1)
it was a really long weekend.
27th June 2008
it started out when my parents, Edros the brother, Elly the sister (the one i've been talking about going to Uitm for the past week) and i travelled from Penang to KL. We reached KL around dinner time and we settled for Marche. It was Elly's choice as she'll be eating merepek stuff after this. So we all pon kesian la kan, takpe lah.
i love her to bits
After a lil bit of the yummy yum grilled chicken breast, mashed potato, spaghetti carbonara, cut fruits and apple-lemon juice, my body temperature was slightly above normal, seriously.

We were sleeping over at Aunty Nor's superbly huge and beautiful villa in Putrajaya. When Adura meets Tina, that means long girly talks. I was not feeling well, but meeting her and Tini, her sister we had endless talks until we couldnt even open our eyes and that was around 4am. Seriously, Tina i hate you for your own jacuzzi. Yes people, she has a jacuzzi in her own bathroom! (Pa can i have one of my own pleeeeeeeeasssee! :) I should have taken pictures of it but i was really not in the photographer mode. Demam, remember?

f r i e n d s
"The only way to have a friend is to be one."- Ralph Waldo Emerson
I got this quote somewhere off the Net and i thought how wonderful it is to be talking bout my friends. Near and far. Close friends or just friends. Watever sort of friends. Friends i've made and broken throughout my life. I'm sorry but i would not be able to name all of them but insyaAllah, i'll name some of them. For those i forgot to mention, i didn't forget you, you know i won't.
And while i'm in this subject i would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you (your name here :) who had supported me along my journey of life, my gazillion episodes of reality show or drama whatever you call it, through highs and lows, happiness and sadneess, tears and joy, you name it!
I have always remembered all that, but i'm only human, i may slip a few details here and there. I may miss calling you on your birthday or anniversary or weddings (sorry Ain) . I may misscommunicate with you, or did anything that might hurt you in anyway you name it. I may ignore you when i'm busy. I may not return your calls or SMSes. I may do do whatever in which i cannot think of now.
Unless if i really hate you, then i'll mean it but if you know me very well, i'm a girl with good heart (if not takde la im called Sayangness, kan?). So i'd probably let that slip off my mouth or behaviour what-nots by accident or without going through my "mind-filter" or i might be so freaking busy or stressed out with life, work, family or relationship. Please forgive me.
My Ex even complained when i put my friends first than him. Well, i try to be as fair as possible with my friends and boyfriend. I'm sorry if sometimes i had my friends tagging along on our date and to my friends, i'm sorry if i had him tagging along too (Nad, i know you didn't mind, but i'll make it up to you). But it worked for me and Attie cos we had our double-date, yes?
For Aisyah's wedding this coming October, I hope the Wedding Showers is on and the whole 306 gals (Nad, Attie, Aisyah ,the bride, Ekin, Fafa and ET) and i will have lots and lots of fun. For Ada whose going to miss it, I'm sorry but I hope we plan for something fun too, yeah? Food-hunting again maybe? I hope when August comes, and Fairy comes back, I'll have lots of time for her, to share gossips and stories and sleepovers since i have not met her for 2-3 years now?
To Dirah and Shaz, I hope we will meet again and not at Pavilion's escalator. Definitely a real date, okay? Please bring along Shigim with you, i miss her so much! To Kin, my KL-Penang friend, the person i thought i would not be friends with, I'm going to miss you when you graduate and go back to KL. No more mamak fix. Haha. Eida, I am glad you are going to marry and get old in Penang, at least i know who to call to lepak-lepak. Nadiah, while you're still here in Malaysia, lets go hang out and talk nonsense like high-school, and hear your poyo American accent slip you tongue. Just cant wait for our Mat Saleh celup, Nurul (who got engaged the Mat Saleh way, congrats anyway) to come back and the SGGS gals to reunite. haha!! Friends, friends.
*Sigh!*
Other friends i have met and forgotten, those whom i have lost contact with, please forgive me and i hope we can be better friends for each other and please keep in touch with me no matter where you are and what you do cos a friend is still a friend. So from today, i vow to be a better friend.
