Today my favourite quiz on Facebook was whats wrong with you? and the answers just made me smile and then giggle as it does not make sense at all. Too attractive? Really? Then what caused my breakups? And single-dom? Oh yes i forgot.. cause i'm too attractive! Funny yet confidence boosting

What's Wrong With You?

Result: Too Attractive

Your extreme level of hotness is distracting and offensive to everyone.

Seriously. You're so hot that it makes your friends vomit out of jealousy and strangers drool out of animal lust. Invest in some burlap sacks before everyone you know turns into drooling, vomity messes. Or maybe just invest in some mops.

And don't forget to thank your mom and dad for making you so gorgeous. They did good.

Movie review - Jgn Pdg Blkg Congkak

Last Tuesday, while my cousin Mastina was here and me bing sick with some kinda virus-shite, i planned for a movie outing with my BFF's. Mind you, not the usual BFF's but Boy's Funny Friends. They're just totally funny to be with.

So, there i was at GSC Queensbay, deciding which movie to watch. Earlier i planned on a movie marathon of 17 again, Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak and Terminator. But problem was, i did not feel very well to sit there in an airconditioned room for more than 2 hours so i decided to watch the comedy Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak which was so much of a rare choice for me as i'm not the type of a Malay movie frenzy, but i did this time. Why? I watched it's "the making of.. "and i could hardly stop laughing. So i thought, why not give the movie a chance and boy was i right. It was good and i give the a 5 star for tickling my belly and made my Mr Virus go away at least for the night.

So here i am, standing ovation for the line of actors as well as director Ahmad Idham as well as the producer whom actually acted in it as well. Congratulations!

Swordfish saves the day

Today, due to Cintahati’s ever-loving sweetness, I’d like to share a story with you. It was so funny, that everytime I think about it, I’ll laugh for at least the next 5 minutes. Hope you had a good laugh too.

It happened last week when I was in Johor Bahru for work. The normal water sampling yada yada. We started early; everyone was in the mood for work. We laughed our hearts out throughout the journey from Kualiti Ceria’s office to Tanjung Pelepas (about 30minutes drive). Upon arrival, we had breakfast and swallowed a little bitter pill to avoid water sickness (is that what you call it?) Whatever it is, I don’t want to throw up doing my thing on boat, and I know it’s definitely not fun being sick. So I had to take the medicine every time I go on boat even though it makes you sleepy the first 30minutes. [Note: Please get the medicine if you plan on taking the boat, ferry or such]

So after a while of boat-riding, we arrived at the spot (advised by Mr. GPS as we need an exact reading of the location) so we started to throw the Ekman grab for the sediment sample. When the boys pulled it up, they noticed that there’s a malfunction. To say the least, the next hour was spent repairing it on boat, the nomad way. Such chaos! “Tu la, sape suruh gelak je dari tadi, kan dah kena!” is all I can think of.

To make it more dramatic, when the apparatus was ready to do its job, Roro started doing the Phytoplankton and Zooplankton sampling. Another tragedy happened when the net was stucked to the boat’s fan. The boatmen even wanted to dive and get it out, but by the time he was in his diving costume, and got the torn net and there’s nothing left to dive for.

Due to the drama that was happening, everyone was exhausted, moody and I was easily agitated. I sat outside the boat, alone, while he smoked his way out of depression. He was stressed about the net and could not get it out of him since he was responsible for it but Edros said that things were to happen and nothing can be done but to get a new one. So I was okay with it as the net wont cost more than 10 grants would it?

So since both of us were not in the mood, me, being super-agitated with his stress-ness tried to make him relax but turned out fighting and screaming our hearts out (I’m definitely exaggerating), we got into a fight with no reasons at all. Then as we were heading back towards the jetty, the next 20minutes was pure silent between the two of us until I saw a swordfish, in and out of the water.

I was amazed and excited that I wanted to shake him and ask him to look what I saw and since we were ‘not’ talking, I didn’t. I kept it to myself. But Cintahati, quickly turned to me and said “Did you see that? I turned back just to make sure the swordfish was not there to stab me”. I laughed. I thought it was funny that he was being dramatic. But I recalled that there’s this old folk story made to a black-and-white movie “Singapura dilanggar Todak” where the villagers were stabbed by the swordfish. But luckily these Swordfishes are civilized now as Swordfish saves the day!

2nd Day Ramadhan

It was funny when it was time to "buka puasa". The first of the month, excited like anyone would. It marked the first day of Ramadhan. We were all seated at the dining table excluding little Adam whom "puasa yang-yok,pagi-pagi bukak periuk". We missed haing Elly around for buka puasa as there'll be the extra chaos coming out from her (hope she's not reading this entry as she'll be teary-eyed).

When we heard the call for prayers, its time to 'buka puasa'. Everything seemed so delicious when you're out at the Souq Ramadhan (bazaar selling food for 'buka puasa') but sometimes we get too greedy and buy anything nice to eat. Its such waste when there's too many on the table.

But having Iqmal the big-eater, food was never enough. So i told him to stop before he was half-full, its the Prophet's sunnah to stop whenever you're half-full, i told. Then he said "I'm not full" Then, Edros said "I know, but stop when you're half full!" Iqmal with an innocent face, then replied "Im not even close to half full" And all of us bursted laughing. He had a plate of rice with all sorts of dishes, cakes and jellies and he's not even close to half-full. Typical Iqmal!

manic monday

june 16th 2008

mad day. eventhough not much papers piled on my table still it was mad. i vowed for retail therapy with Elly for no reasons. yup, no reasons and the next thing i know i had 2 shopping bags with 4 tops and 2 shoes. yup new shoes. red and black. as expected, im wearing the red one today :) sukenye hati!

my red shoes a la sophie ellis bexter

Retail therapy was mainly to shoo away my thoughts away from everything possible or perhaps nothing.. so anyway there was indeed a need to shop.

Oh and there was a joke i had yesterday that so tickled my belly. I called in for an appointment, where? doesnt matter. so when i said i wanted to make an appointment tomorrow at 4.30pm, the person on the other line was like "Okay, your name is Miss....". So i was like "Noradura" and spelt it just in case she got me wrong.

I was like in a Spelling Bee competition, like what Elly said. I was going "N..O..R.."and so on. I believe the line was noisy, which i dont think so cos the lady went "N..O..I..E..D..U..I..E". I'm sorry but what does that spells? I'm like laughing and she was "hello..hello" and i corrected her again stressing the "R" and "A". My goodness.

Then all of us were laughing cos we couldnt figure out what "NOIEDUIE" was. Maybe it is pronounced as"No-ee-do-ee", cute but no thank u.
So that was joke of the day!
