Well, i was all smiles the whole day and to my dear customers, i'm smiling because of you too. To be honest, there are a whole bunch of dresses, tops and whatnots to be updated in the boutique, but i'm juggling time for my 9 to 5 job, my family, my loved ones, my chomel27, my EUROtrip planning, and everything else. Goodness, 24hours is so not enough now issit?

One more thing, i have not even complete my to-do list. Oh noooo!! It's definitely piling up. Please God send me an angel to make me smile all day without whining and settle all the procrastinated jobs i left to dust.

A:Fair Weekend

A:Fair weekend, that's what i am expecting for this weekend. Why? Well, haven't it been super duper weekends these past two weeks? And this upcoming weekend it should be as fair as A:Fair Weekend.

Why? Do you need a reason to shop and have fun?

I'm starting to feel my adrenaline pumping of excitement now as i would be going through each and every stall available at the bazaar itself in hope to get my hands on all the lovely items promised. Oh well, i'd melt to any bazaars or flea markets whatever you call them. They're simple, chic, and cheap and yes i'm comparing those items you get from those brick and mortar shops and especially labelled and designer items. Goodness, so much to shop, so much to save :)

Did i mention they have over 50 stalls available? From everything and anything? I'll prove to you with pictures next week.

Now, i should just get ready some moolah, (how i wish i could have unlimited fund in cash or in my debit card, if they could actually accept it), my eco-friendly shopping bag, my flip flops (a lot of walking involved here so you need comfy shoes for that), shades and sunscreen. Are you ready now? Cos i just can't wait. BTW, i think the creator Marlena Mansor is my truly good guy friend Ikram Rizal Mansor's sister (Zal, correct me if i'm wrong dear)

Her March Madness! @ Benefit

Yesterday it was raining. It rained after i got back from a wedding. I was my brother's partner, how pathetic and boring my sunday was. Since it ras a rainy sunday with nothin much to do, i found something interesting to do. SHOP!

Syasya, Cintahati's sister, reminded me that my lipgloss were running low. And so it was a great opportunity to fill in. And there you go, just the stop at Benefit and i'm glued. Well, not like i haven't thought of the pretty M.A.C's Hello Kitty collection but i just totally loathe Hello Kitty itself. And i thought Bobbi Brown was a bit on the pricey side (since i blew my savings on inner wear at La Senza earlier) and therefore opted for Benefit.

I had been eye-ing for Benefit since the first makeover i had, the same day i met Cintahati, (seriously!) but since i was still a student then, i had no fund for make-ups. But it never failed to make me smile and wait for new items with the twist of quirkiness. The vintage look of the fresh item just makes me drool over and over again!

Okay, back to Benefit, so my mission no.1 and only is to get Her Glossiness. Right! I didn't. The Beauty artist, Jennifer offered me to try the Lemon Aid since i was asking about high brow. I was kinda interested in the effect. Then she asked me to try Lyin' Eyes, for the dark circle and there you go. She ended up doing a whole make-over for me. With Benetint to Coralista, the new pretty blusher to Bad Gal lash mascara to You Rebel foundation to the ever-gorgeous Skinny Dip lipstick.

So after all that and the patient brother, i ended up buying 3 items, the must haves no.1 (that means the remaining items should be on the wish list!) The Lemon Aid for the lazy girl who is too lazy to apply eye shadows for the more natural pretty look, the Lyin' Eyes which worked like magic and give you some kind of glow and Her Glossiness which looks so kissable any time you wave that wand.

And so, who says makeup has to be serious to look good? It took her less than 10 minutes to get me done and Voila! i felt like a pweetyyyyyy pwincess out of covergirl magazine (yerrite!)..... All that for a good RM251 minus the RM10 rebate from Parkson. Yay!! More and more savings.

Her March Madness! @ La Senza

So its the F1 fever for them guys but its sale fever for us gals. It started with a simple sms from La Senza on there sale. Well, everywhere, everyshop was on sale but it didn't attract me as much as La Senza did. I'd have to admit my frequent buys here. But truth be told, the offer is superbly irresistable. Buy 3 at RM120, who wont resist that? I know i wont. Isn't a good pair of bra essential?

So the sale is finally here and i went mad over it. This month alone, i've visit and re-visited for at least over 5 times. And 3 out of 5, i'll end up buying at least something. In total, i've spent over RM600 for god-knows-what! And to say the least, i'd have to return for something i forgot to get. Maybe its just an excuse but (seriously talking here) you save a lot during sale! and i'm not talking like i've been shopping my savings every month but a good deal is still a good deal.

Recently the made such further markdown, menyesal pulak lah kan since my first purchase was the absolute rm300++. The markdown had a kick to it. For every RM100 there'll be an additional RM10 rebate. WOW!!!! So i grab and grab and grab, in total was say 200 over minus the 10% privilege member and additional RM20-30 rebate and there you go, a good rm100 savings on all that!

Sadly, all the bras were the typical cotton or lacey ones, compared to the only sports bra (like the picture above) i got in La Senza Pavillion store. There were none in Penang. So i miss that chance there. Yikes. All in all, i'm still happy with all my stuff which i would probably save it till i-dont-know-when since the drawer is currently full and hopefully, i have enough funds to go again for my last buy. There goes my lingerie shopping until August? Hopefully i'll be able to haramkan myself from entering those pretty places for at least the next 3 months, insyaAllah.

Room 211 : The big 18

Much apologies for the long postponed entry. I have been to Jakarta again but this time was mainly business, nothing much to review on as most of it overlaps with the one before. So here I am, continuing my journey of Room 211.

It happened on the same day we went to DuFan, 24th December 2008. No one even mentioned anything about Syasya’s birthday. It seemed to be working, my plan that is. So upon checking in at Kartika Chandra, and a few hours rest as well as passing the time to wait for Papa and Mama’s arrival later at about 8pm we went to explore Planet Hollywood, Jakarta.

It had definitely been awhile since I entered such places. That’s why I chose to dine there at about 6pm (about 5pm Malaysia) hoping they serve something familiar to our tummy. At last something familiar was on the menu, not so much of the local cuisine. So everyone seemed to have put on a smile and we ordered, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Lasagna and Nachos, and FishNChips, of course.


So after chatting, I excused myself to the “ladies”. It was suppose to be an excuse to get the waiter to get the cake. And so they did. And, boy was Syasya blushing after the waiters made her stand on the tall chair. I’m glad she had fun. There’s nothing better than a surprise right?

So after our late lunch, early dinner, we wanted to take a look at Jakarta’s mall and the closest was Semanggi Mall which was a mile away but it took us almost an hour. How’s that?

Hehe. spaQ2 is back. When all my other fave shows will soon "get some rest".

I'm not a fan of Malay shows but since now Malaysian acts are getting better and the actors/actresses are much much better than those in the 80's (i'm only referring to some of them, so jangan perasan).

There's this girl, Sheila Ooh La La (Kencana Devi), i like her a lot. Very the kaypo! But sadly Intan Azura and Elly Mazlein is no more with SpaQ.

Ok,got to go, its uploaded.I'm watching it online @ TV3.

Oh,oh and before that, Toshop's on sale starting today and i had my grab during lunch since i can't go with Eida Beyda after work cos i'll be working till late, meeting datelines. So go serbu people!

Ok PMS or not, its the time of the month which you should hang on tight to your "hunny bunny". Call them whatever you want, do whatever they like even if your body screams of pain. What more would you want to offer since its almost Christmas and End of Year and the Malaysia Saving Sale formerly known as YES (Year End Sale) is happening all around. And today in particular, to feed my high demand and expensive hobby, Habib's on sale.

After yesterday's tutorials on how to deal with your PMS girlfriend, this would do so much wonders to her. Believe me. i know so! Even if, she's not in the time of the month, just be prepared or better still prevent it rather than to cure later on, since the sale will only last till end on this year.

I should better get going, people and "shine" myself off. Problem is, i won't be shopping any soon since i'll havve to secure some for my Christmas trip later on :)

As much as I dislike media attention whore Lindsay Lohan, it seems as if her pathetic drunken binges, drug abuse and ankle-fit alcohol detection devices rang in a new trend. That of anklets. Bizarre, but if it gets Chanel to create the eyebrow-raising 2.55 Ankle Bag, there must be something to it. A fad that will pass as quickly as it came.

I thought it was so impossible to wear especially with hijab. Even if im not, i wouldn't wear it at my ankle! Imagine how you need to bend down to get it everytime you need to get some change or maybe your phone vibrates, if you put your cell instead of coins. Think???

But thank god for English model Agyness Deyn who made an appearance at the private party at the Chanel Boutique Dover Street Market dressed from head to toe in Chanel. The supermodel was wearing the latest and greatest from the house, including the Chanel Anklet in Red (which she wore on her arm) and the limited edition Chanel Union Jack quilted bag, £835 (above).

I kill for Kiehl's

Last year on my 'graduation' trip to Singapore, while shopping, i passed by a shop that was so minimal yet so chic. They had a skeleton greet me. When i browsed through, i find it so interesting and so environmental-friendly. Something like the BodyShop (the thing is, i cant use BodyShop's facial care as it does not suit me). The Kiehl's girls in white labcoats handed me a few samples for testers and i thought it was a great idea for me to 'experiment' with my skin (since the brand would be new to my skin, you always need to do a patch test to ensure the suitability of its contents to your dear skin).

After a few tries, it didn't cause any irritations, i felt better and i thought it was a great thing to be hooked up with Kiehl's. Since i stopped going for facials, i might as well invest in some good money for some good products. I want to maintain flawless skin without the monthly visit to the beautician. Its extra money since you pay for the service and you'll have to purchase their expensive products on top of it, which might or might not work. The monthly 'extractions' the term they use to push out the blackheads had caused open pores to mine so i would not want to prolong the effect, too.

Sad thing was, i had to buy in Singapore since Kiehl's have not reached our shores,then, and i thought of not getting it since it'll be a hassle if i finish the bottle and need replacements and what not. Then after less than 3 months of 'thinking', it was already in KL, so i excitedly visited Kiehl's at Pavillion and, my, was i happy to get my facial care there. I had the Yerba Mate range (facial cleanser, the toner and moisturizer) and also the Ultra Protection Water-Based Sunscreen SPF 25. It was not as expensive as the others i've tried, and i thought it was reasonable enough to pay MYR350 per set (Yerba Mate cleanser at MYR85, toner at MYR110 and moisturizer at MYR50).

The herbal Yerba Mate products, is suitable for all skin types. Formulated with an extract derived from Yerba Maté, an extraordinary South American herb, to help maintain a healthy-looking, youthful vivacity. The Yerba Mate sounds fun to me and the moisturizer and sunscreen is not sticky like some others i've tried. So two thumbs up for Kiehl's. During purchases, Kiehl's will offer you 3 random samples for you to tryout other products, which i thought was a golden idea for me to test out more of their products. How cool is that?

Then again, till today, their 'golden' idea, had made me a Kiehl's collector. Every visit to KL i would definitely visit Kiehl not because their product doesn't last long, they do (my Yerba Mate facial cleanser had lasted for the past 9 months) but i just had to get other products, to buy something new or re-stocking. I was interested in most of the products but i can't be too greedy, can i?

After the Yerba Mate range, i slowly collected one product at a time and last 2 weeks when i had the Water Quality Workshop at Marriot Putrajaya, we stopped for Pavilion, but this time Kak M and Roslee was there too, and like any other time, i'll definitely stop by my face's fave shop, Kiehls. This time, I got myself the Brightening Botanical collection; the Spot treatment, cleanser as well as the moisturizer. So that makes me Kiehl's crazy.

Then again, last Friday when we stopped by Pavilion from JB, Elly wanted to get her own Kiehl's range, perhaps after envying my less-blemished skin, she finally got her facial care, the Blue Herbal Treatment for blemish-prone skins. The whole set costs only at RM425 inclusive of the cleanser, toner, moisturizer, spot treatment and sunscreen. And i'm definitely sure its worth buying since it'll last more than 6 months (usually more). That means MYR71 per month, MYR2.37 per day and MYR1.18 per use. How good is that? So the next Kiehl's visit, i'm definitely getting Cintahati that!

In the future i'll definitely try more of their products, perhaps all of it since i've tried most of the samples which works like a magic wand. I'm sorry i can't specify 1 particular item that i love as each product i have, i will never leave it behind. To those of you whose a Kiehl's-user, i know u're with me and those who wants to try, get the mini-bottles and try, u'll know what i mean. If u get the facial care, please do not leave he spot treatments and sunscreen behind!

Langkawi trip

Langkawi Geopark. Langkawi Geopark! Its so famous now since it was awarded by UNESCO. Don't ask me what it is. I came for the greenery place, relax & rejuvenate and chocolate shopping and the fact that the last time i was there, i was twelve.

Since the weekend was a Public Holiday, Papa was so generous to take us on a family getaway but all the flights were fully booked. Therefore we had to drag ourselves to the Kuala Perlis jetty which in my opinion was the last resort to go to Langkawi. I'm not really a fan of water transportation. Maybe cos my work revolves around water and travelling on boats. Perhaps. Luck Adam and Edros they escape the boat ride since Adam has his exams going on so they'll be Fireflyz-ing that night.

After an hour ride from the jetty to Kuah Jetty in Langkawi island, it was lunch time and the modernized jetty had a lot of cafes or restaurants to choose from. So while waiting for our ride and since it was drizzling, we had lunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters. Just a note for those who would want to travel with the ferry; it may sound like a short ride but please make sure you brought something to eat and drink with you cos i didnt and the 5 of us were thirsty and hungry throughout.

A momento for Mr Boyfy

Langkawi is a small island but don't underestimate it. Make sure you get the map and GPS ready as the signboard, sometimes, is no help at all. To get to Holiday Villa Resort which was in Pantai Tengah of Langkawi, took us a good 40 minutes ride. But the greens never failed me. Its good to see lots of great landscapes.

Since it was the monsoon season, it rained a lot. Papa had to cancel his game that evening and followed us for some shopping. Poor Papa. For those shopaholics, expect nothing much but kitchenwares and chocolates. It may be a duty free place but nothing much thrills me more than the cheap chocolates and maybe ciggies. For the first time in my life, i had a MYR500++ receipt worth of chocs and ciggies, for the brother of course. After Eight, Toblerone, Daim, Hersheys, Cadbury you name it, everything's there selling below market price!

The Holiday Villa courtyard

Holiday Villa as a whole was a great place to stay despite its old age and eventhough its far from the city, the beautiful surroundings will never put you down. A four star hotel and very well recommended by me and the breakfast? Great. I love the waffles, sangatlah sedap and the buffet as well. For those of you who wants to rest and relax, its a great place to be as well as there are a lot of indoor and outdoor activities you could do there too. The best thing they had there was the indoor swimming pool for the ladies and kids. Cool eh?

I was thinking of some 'rejuvenating', yes spa and more of it, but the price was ohmy expensive. Perhaps to cater to those not-from-Malaysia tourists. Usually, my full course spa would only cost less than MYR200 but at Amoaras Spa, the in-hotel spa the full course would have you pay double or triple the price. So cancel that off my to-do list, i had to settle for other activities like swimming. As Papa had warned us earlier, the location of our hotel (Pantai Tengah) was not a suitable place to beach-swimming. I'll spare the details as its far too complicated to explain. And since pool-swimming does not really interest me at the point, i had to watch the two brothers do. Yawning!

On the second day, after another round of 'touring' shops, we fetched Papa from the Gunung Raya Golf Club to the Mahsuri Musoleum (Makam Mahsuri) which holds the greatest legendary of Langkawi and has become a tourist attraction on the island. To visit, the admission for the Mahsuri city is MYR5 for adult and MYR1 for kids.

The story of Mahsuri

During the time of the powerful Sultanates of the Malay archipelago there lived a young woman named Mahsuri. She was the most beautiful woman in all of Langkawi, and the wife of Wan Darus, a brave warrior. As was required of him, her husband had to go to war, leaving Mahsuri behind to fend for herself. It was during this time that Mahsuri befriended a young man named Deraman.

Their close friendship lead others in her village to believe that their relationship was sexual in nature. Some versions of the legend claim that the parties who perpetuated the gossip were those who were envious of Mahsuri's beauty. Eventually the rumours grew strong enough that the villagers openly accused her of adultery. Mahsuri pleaded her innocence, but no one believed her.

Following the old Islamic punishment for adultery, Mahsuri was to be tied to a tree (or pole) and stabbed to death. When they stabbed her, white blood flowed from her wound, signifying her innocence. With her dying breath, Mahsuri cursed Langkawi to have seven generations of bad luck.

When we stepped in the "Mahsuri city", on the right was a museum and there were also girls who played the caklempong, a traditional music instrument. Believe it or not, i played it when i was in Music Class during my high school. So as you stroll the place, you would see a few houses on stilts believed to be the kampung of Mahsuri surrounded by its beautiful flowers and trees.

Mama found a resident artiste who draws portraits at a price for MYR29 and sketches in less than 20minutes. So while waiting, the 5 of us had to go on the tour, without our parents but in there was also a mini bird park and Adam had a lot of fun teasing the birds. There was the peacock and eagle, belibis and the rest i forgot their names, sorry.

As much as Adam had fun so did we, photographing ourselves, of course. Too bad Mr Boyfy could not join us or it'll be double the fun. Thirsty we were, we settled for cokodok at a gerai nearby the paddy field. An experience too expensive to let go. :) On our way out, i spotted a tree, name Bongok. Funny isnt it? Bongok like stupid tree.

After another ride on the ferry, we were on our way back to Penang, hungry as we were always, we stopped at Changloon for yummylicious food and Chendol. So yummy that i finished it all on my own. We had a great weekend despite the weather, but the greatest of all was the sunset shot on the highway, in the car by the non-pro photograher with not DSLR but a normal digicam, Me.

15th day of Ramadhan

It was Monday and Monday blues clues was on air. MasyaAllah, it was a slow Monday and even though i was bloghopping, again, time never seemed to pass by. Slow and very slow, so what else but you know you love me. XOXO Gossip Girl. Still couldnt kill Mr boredom so brother and i went so some retail therapy and it clearly cured. Wow.

My Grilled Chicken Salad

Buka puasa was at Nandos but this time no 1/4 chicken but the Grilled Chicken Salad and some soup please. Poio indeed but tamak as well. But at least i finished half of both. After dinner, we lepak-ed at Coffee Bean for the lovely Mocha Latte for Edros and Cranberry Raspberry Snapple for Little Miss Sayangness, thank you!

14th day of Ramadhan

Early Sunday morning. It was as mellow as can be. Late last night, i slept walk and followed Edros for sahur. We had Mcdonald for sahur cos the food at the hotel buffet sux. The only thing i can eat was the croissant and strawberry jam. Whatevs.

So it was the last day to shop and i went to KLCC. I was the last one to get ready. Believe it or not? Cos I'm always the one waiting for him, and when it comes to my turn he whined. So at KLCC, again, it was the hunt for stuffs. We were like on some TV game, shop-till-you-drop kinda thing. But seriously i was aimless. Aimless on what to shop.

For once in my life, i had nothing to buy. Well not nothing but i bought a new pair of trainers. Definitely after Raya im hitting the gym! Yerrite. I wanted the Coach bag, but the strap was too thick, so pass. Lucky for Papa that i turned down his offer but i wouldnt want to buy something worth a few grants and leave it in the dust bag, right?

So well, to kill time i went escourting Mama to Gucci, Ferragamo, Dunhill, Aigner and a few others in search of Papa's birthday gift. Believe me people, its no fun when you enter a designer shop and they'll be looking at you with this "what on earth are you doing here?" kinda look.

I felt like laughing as well cause they're paid to sell these things which i believe they might not even know the name or the money to buy, right? You'd be smiling if you happened to be in my shoes before. Im not showing off as if i can afford these thing but please, at least respect your customers. One crazy example was the Tiffany&Co, (yes, I'm being forward here) if you happen to enter the one at Pavillion, you'll be welcome as cold as ice. Not the diamonds the way they look at you. Goodness! Lets have a hapy entry shall we?

So we got Papa this clutch bag from Dunhill and was greeted so warm by the Dunhill team especially by this pretty Indo chick named Erin. Clap clap to them. They even serve tea for you but since we were fasting so, again pass.

Break fast was at Marche. Yes, from KLCC to Curve for the sake of some Marche buffet. Great, great buffet. Salmon curry, Grilled seafood, pasta, roti jala, panna cotta, ice creams, pizzas, steack, lamb chops, salads, soups, you name it! Yum yum humpty dum.

13th Day of Ramadhan

I started my day early for some shopping. The Zubirs (yes that's my family) entourage at Pavillion. Am so loving it. No hot sun. No dreaded walks. Just perfect!

Traditional Performance at Pavilion

We started with charles&kieth, a shoe boutique. Dead cheap shoes . Well not so, but its definitely worth buying with the crazy comfy soles, who would resist it? The shoes ranges from MYR80 over and i got another gladiator sandals. But the best part was, i came back with mommy dearest and got ourselves more shoes. Yippie!!!

Then we went to Topshop, Pull and Bear, Gap, Guess and madness it was for the five of us (Edros, Elly, Iqmal, and i). It was like a shop-till you-drop competition. Everyone grabbed everything including Papa. Funny buy, he got himself this cardigan from Topshop. Wow, i know. Funny, i think. But he's my daddy cool. While shopping, I've come to realise that Iqmal is now a teenager, he wanted to choose his attire rather than wearing what Mama or anyone chooses for him. Welcome to the club, Mal!

We ended up entering every single shop available, minus the not so interesting ones, of course. Was there from 10 to 5pm. With aching legs and i had to rush for my reunion buka puasa with my YPM friends at Nelayan. Thank God, i made it on time after a 30minute foot reflexology in our hotel room.

The Yellow canaries

Upon arrival, i was so thrilled to meet my loves, Attie and Nad. Nad, we're so sehati-sejiwa. Both of us wore yellow. Maybe the colour for this season but it was cute. Nelayan was so packed with people and i dare you not to drop a sweat with the endless queues for buffets, the delicious food and heat from the steamboat. Look at myself, it was mad alright! My tudung was rebellious as well. (Nelayan had good food but it is best to go during the non-peak season, you'll end up with nothing much but a bad review)

One by one, my friends starts to show and i was really happy to see each one of them. The thing is they didnt know bout my little surprise and when they knew bout the cupcakes, each of the took back 3boxes per person. That's how lucky they got and how unlucky of those who didnt make it. Overall, endless chats with Attie, Nad, Elly, Sue, Ain and Wani made me come to realise how much i missed college life. Well, let's do more of this okay friends?
